Meet Dr. Young
I consider myself to be many things: husband, father, orthodontist, traveler, coach, friend, outdoorsman, and employer. All of these things contribute to who I am. As an orthodontist, I have the amazing opportunity to help people attain perfection in their smiles. I am passionate about exceeding my patients’ expectations. Every day, I look forward with resolve to creating a new, beautiful and gorgeous smile for each of my patients. I strive to make the world a better, brighter place for each individual.

Outside the office
I was born in Utah and grew up in Salt Lake City. I love my wife, Ruthanne, and we were married in the Salt Lake Temple. We have ten children, two of whom are married. I love to see my children grow and progress in their lives. My oldest son is in dental school and my next two sons are in medical programs around the country. My youngest is just three, so we have a ways to go before he graduates from college!
I love my family and doing things with them. I help my kids with their homework and school projects all the time. We are always planning a family vacation somewhere; I love it when we can get everyone together on the same vacation. Some of our favorite destinations have included Disneyland, Universal Studios, skiing in Brighton, and boating and camping at Lake Powell or Echo Reservoir. I guess my real job is to create exceptional memories for me and my family.
I have also been involved with the Boy Scouts of America all my life. I have been a cubmaster, scoutmaster, and I am an Eagle Scout. I have coached the community rec center teams in soccer and baseball for many years. I love running into youth that I have coached or have been in my scout troops. I am active in my church and I have been involved in the young men’s program there for many years.
